After the uplifting VBS with our brethren from Crieve Hall, we started preparing for our Fourth anniversary seminar of the Iglesia de Cristo en West End. When we look back on our short years here in St. Louis, we feel so appreciative and grateful for the Lord and His blessings and increase. We are also thankful for our supporters and the help they have given us to be able to work and labor in the mission field. With the help of our brethren from memphis, South Carolina, and Springfield, MO, we were able to evangelize and door knock with great success. We invited over 100 Hispanics, and sat in the homes and studied with over 50 people in one weekend. The fruits of those labors were seen when Franco and Andrea were baptized into Christ for the remission of their sins. They have been visiting with their family Rubi and Leo who are members with us, but they didn't really start attending faithfully until we had our VBS the week prior. Through the teachings of the Bible classes, worship, and family members this wonderful couple was baptized. Glory be to God. What a glorious day it was.
We were able to start the campaign off studying with our group off Cheerokee street in downtown St. Louis. We had over 38 in attendance, 16 of those Hispanic visitors. Kristi was able to teach a kids class during the lesson in a small room with the help of our sister Brandi Crews. The children throughout these last two weeks have been taught the Word of God, and they are such a joy to have in the building. It was with great effort my wife diligently taught them during our seminar for 3 hours each night. I know she was so tired, but the teen girls came from our English congregation to help her and that was a blessing. What could we do without the help of our fellow bretheren? We could not begin to name all the people who have brought food, served, cleaned, door knocked, organized, taught, invited, given monetarily, etc. to the work of the Hispanic church. We honestly could not have been successful without their efforts. The contributions of our supporting congregations made these campaigns possible and we are so thankful. We feel so blessed to have such servants and hard workers laboring in Joy beside us. What a beautiful way to spend our time in His service together. May God bless you and thank you every one.
